As I head back to the UK I've been reflecting on another great tradeshow: AfricaCom is becoming one of the key events within the communications industry and is set in the beautiful location of Cape Town.

AfricaCom is located in the heart of the city and hosted at the International Convention Centre which is surrounded by stunning views of the mountains and waterfront. It's very interesting and exciting to see the amount of activity that is currently happening across the African continent and the future for the region is very bright. The appetite and demand for communications, connectivity and content is amazing!

Having witnessed the growth over the last 10 years and having been fortunate to work on a number of projects across countries such as Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana and Ethiopia to name a few, the talent is definitely across these regions whether that's an engineer, operation or commercial executive. It's been refreshing to see the number of new players including the service providers, equipment vendors along with regional operators attending this event.

There seem to be lots of interest from international companies looking to build new foundations within Africa and I can only see this continuing to happen in the future. This year I believe it was attended by record numbers and the vibe and overall buzz about new offerings to some of the most remote locations within Africa is going to be life changing and help so many people that have limited access to communications.

It's been a delight to talk and meet with some of neuco existing and new partners and to hear about the future of the continent is very humbling. If you ever have the chance to attend this event, please take some time to explore Cape Town and its offerings.

Thanks again to everyone that I had the opportunity to speak to and meet with and I'm looking forward to returning back to Africa again soon.

neuco is already on the countdown for AfricaCom 2017!
