Evelyn Clough has been in Network Operations her whole career and speaks with so much passion and love for what she does. Tom Wilding and I were lucky enough to have her on the podcast this week where things kick off by us learning that her path in tech seemed set when as a young girl in a small village in the Philippines, she set to work fixing the new family TV that has exploded! People who have their main influence as one of their parents often make for very passionate people and it’s no surprise to learn that it was Evelyn’s mother who played that part. From a Connectivity industry standpoint, we discuss all things Network Operations and explore how automation of the NOC is the future. On joining Ericsson – an extremely diverse organisation – she realised there was no specific internal group dedicated to the Asian community. A woman of action, she had it set up in a matter of weeks and it’s now one of the most engaged employee groups in the business.
