Transitioning a Pre-Sales Engineer to Sales specialist
The challenge: to find a highly skilled engineer, who could make the transition to a commercial role. They needed in depth technical knowledge including, IP infrastructure, IP based products, routing, networking, cable and traditional broadcasting. This person had to have exceptional people skills and strategic Business Development ability, enabling them to successfully make the move away from Sales Engineering, towards pure Sales and Account Management.
Our solution: having worked previously with the client and understanding their offering to the market, we used our network to approach individuals who would have the right technical background and personal acumen to make this transition.
The outcome: we proactively headhunted a candidate, who whilst was not actively looking for a role, or on the market, jumped at the chance to work with this organisation and make a career defining move.
